"When you hand over that ballot to a harvester you can kiss it goodbye."

HOUSTON, Texas - True the Vote founder, Catherine Engelbrecht sat down with nationally syndicated, San Antonio-based radio show host Joe Pags to discuss the "engineered chaos" surrounding the left's attempt to push vote-by-mail expansion and eliminate voter protections. Listen to the full interview here; select excerpts are included below.

"[The Democrats] are engineering chaos to control outcomes…Someone who’s elderly or infirm, or maybe they’re out of the country or have another reason according to their state law to vote by mail — that’s fine, that’s great! No problem with that at all. What we’re not being told in this current push toward mail-in is that it’s not just about standardizing [the process of mail-in voting]; it’s also about a push to do away with voter ID, to get away from signature comparison, to provide for limitless ballot harvesting. All of that is part of a much larger [scheme] that is going to end up in a disaster this November.”

“We want everybody to participate in an election that is free and fair, and when you send mail ballots to everybody on your voter file, knowing that voter files on average have about 23 percent errant entries…it is a recipe for disaster. The notion that people should only have an option to vote by mail given all the problems that come with it, it just defies logic that this would be a good plan, but it’s one that they’re going to go to war over.”

"When you hand over that ballot to a harvester you can kiss it goodbye. Maybe it makes it to the count, maybe it doesn’t. You have no way of controlling that."

"The same groups that are pushing mail-in ballots are the same groups that fought against voter ID, that fought against states cleaning up their voter rolls, and now they’re going to use all of that chaos to their advantage in just a few months."

“We are trying to stop those states from stealing voters’ constitutional rights…If we find ourselves still in that mail-in spot this November, the best solution is going to be massive involvement by our citizenry — voting this year isn’t going to be enough. We need people to serve, to help count those mail-ins, to help work in polling places wherever they are allowed to exist. We need as many people engaged in the process as we possibly can. It’s something we have forgotten: elections are about the people. These power-drunk bureaucrats are not going to be making laws that make it easier to vote them out of office.”
