Two Key Court Case Updates to Keep You In the Loop

Hi Friend,

I wanted to personally share with you a legal briefing from our lead attorneys. These updates are important, and as a trusted friend of this mission, you deserve to know where things stand:

Andrews v. D’Souza Media, True the Vote, Catherine Engelbrecht, and Gregg Phillips

This case stems from a complaint filed in 2022 by a plaintiff who briefly appeared in the film ‘2000 Mules’. True the Vote provided limited research and video content for the film, but we had no editorial control over the moviemaking or production choices.

On June 6, in federal court in Georgia, our attorney Jake Evans powerfully argued for summary judgment—meaning, this case should be dismissed without going to trial. He made clear that True the Vote had no hand in the statements at issue in the movie or D’Souza’s book, that the plaintiff, masked and blurred was not identifiable in the film during the 1.8 seconds he was shown in the video given to us by Gwinnett County, Georgia, and that the work we do is part of a vital national conversation about election integrity that is protected under the First Amendment.

We are hopeful the court will agree and issue a ruling in our favor in the coming months.

Fair Fight v. Engelbrecht, et al.

In a separate case, Fair Fight appealed a major victory we secured last year after a seven-day trial. That ruling found no violation of the Voting Rights Act, affirming that our legal challenges under Georgia law were just that—legal.

On May 13, our team appeared before a three-judge panel in the Eleventh Circuit to defend that win. We stood firm in our position: engaging the process legally and transparently is not intimidation—it’s participation. A ruling on the appeal is expected in the months ahead.

As always, I’m deeply grateful for your prayers, your support, and your belief in this cause. We are standing tall, because you stand with us.

Ever onward —
