Washington Susan Risenhoover F 2008 General Absentee/Mail Impersonation 1 Susan Risenhoover was not registered to vote in the 2008 Presidential election, however, her son was. Risenhoover filled out her son’s ballot, forged his name and sent it to the Island County Auditor’s Office. Michigan Julie Adriana Escobar F 2004 Non-citizen voting Registration Fraud - non 1 Julie Adriana Escobar was a permanent resident, but not a U.S. citizen, when she was given a voter registration card as part of change-of-address paperwork. She filled it out and then voted in the 2004 general election.
Ohio John Jackson M 2000-11 Presidential R Absentee Ballot Fraud 6 John Jackson, a Republican member of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections was charged with five counts of tampering with ballots, and one count of misconduct of an employee of the board of elections. Jackson was accused of changing residents' votes when he went to assist nursing home residents vote. The Supreme Court ruled that unsealed secret ballots could be used as evidence against him, but the case was ultimately dismissed because of the death of the witness. Washington Shonny Wainhouse 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. Mississippi Alethea Michelle Shaw F 2013-06 Hattiesburg Mayoral 2014-10 Ineligible district voting (+registration) 1 1 Three of seven defendants indicted on voter fraud connected to the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral elections pleaded guilty last week to misdemeanor charges in 12th District Circuit Court. Alethea Michelle Shaw, 46, Carmon Yvette Anderson, 53, and Joseph Lee Anderson, 53, each pleaded* guilty to a charge of voting out of district of legal domicile. Shaw works as public defender for the City of Hattiesburg’s Municipal Court. Carmon Anderson works as human resources director for the Hattiesburg Public School District. Each defendant received a suspended sentence of six months, was fined $200 and ordered to pay $220.84 court costs. Shaw was cited for voting in the June 4, 2013, general election even though her legal residence was listed in Lamar County outside Hattiesburg city limits. The Andersons were cited for voting in the Sept. 24, 2013, mayoral special election even though their legal residence was listed in Moselle. The indictments were connected to alleged voting irregularities in the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral race between incumbent Mayor Johnny DuPree and former Ward 4 City Councilman Dave Ware. After a year-long investigation, two Forrest County grand juries handed down seven misdemeanor indictments in October 2014.
