Fur'qan, who changed his name from Leon Edward Nelson, was convicted of second-degree murder in Duval County in 1991. Fur'qan's voting history indicated that he registered as a Democrat on Sept. 2, 2004 and had voted six times since then, even though his civil rights had not been restored. He was charged with three counts ofillegally voting in 2014 and 2015. |Ohio||Zachary McIntyre||ResponsibleOhio||2015-07||Issue 3 referendum||2016-05||Registration fraud||1||0||Zachary McIntire was charged by the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office with false voter registration, a fifth-degree felony, in connection with a larger scheme by legal marijuana petitioners to encourage petition signers and voter registrants to give fraudulent addresses. An investigation by the Secretary of State's office found that ResponsibleOhio and the Strategy Network’s petitions contained signatures of dead people, that they attempted to register people under fake addresses, and that there were voter registration forms that were forged and completed by someone other than the registrant. She and her co-defendants chose to vote in Ohio over their home states, because Ohio is a swing state and Obama was expected to easily win in their home states. Charged with a violation under Title 35 of Ohio Code, casting an absentee ballot despite not meeting residency requirement. Pleaded guilty. |Wisconsin||Yadira Colon||F||2008 2009||D||2009-11||Absentee/mail||Ineligible district voting||Petition fraud||4||1||Yadira Colón pleaded* no contest to two counts of election fraud for forging signatures on nomination papers for Pedro Colón, then a Democratic member of the Wisconsin Assembly from Milwaukee, in 2009. Colón, a Voces De La Frontera volunteer, was also charged with illegally registering to vote and casting an absentee ballot in Milwaukee in 2008, listing an address in the city when she in fact resided in Oshkosh at the time. Prosecutors agreed to drop two charges, and Colón pleaded no contest to two others.
