Republican Dutchess County Elections Commissioner Erik Haight charged one of Democratic Commission Frances Knapp’s staffer “manipulated” data to benefit the Democrats. Illinois Attorney General’s office is also “actively monitoring” the situation. The probe is centered on a hotly contested race between Democratic State Rep. Kate Cloonen and her Republican challenger Lindsay Parkhurst. |North Carolina||Contested Election: Allen Dial vs. Theresa Locklear||2013-11||Pembroke municipal||Contested Election||Ineligible district voting||A new election was ordered after the State Board of Elections determined at least 30 votes were cast improperly in the November 2013 Pembroke Town Council election Robeson County officials determined that from 12 to 20 votes were cast using invalid addresses. They also found instances of improper IDs used to prove residency and at least eight instances of improper one-stop, absentee voting. Votes for Allen Dial, who was seeking his fifth term, and challenger Theresa Locklear tied at 299, according to the November results. It is not clear if any criminal charges will be filed.
