After a seven-week trial, the defendants were convicted on various charges they faced, which included vote-buying, mail fraud, extortion and money laundering. Several convicted major drug dealers testified during the trial about how easy it was to spread many thousands of dollars around to buy votes.||In 2010 sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison.
