California Jason Holley Jessica Sundell M 2006 2006-10 Registration Fraud 1 0 Jason Holley and Jessica Sundell pleaded* guilty to one count of felony voter registration fraud for unlawfully registering voters without their knowledge. They acquired victims’ personal information by checking their IDs and forging voter party registration information in the victims’ name without the victims’ knowledge or consent. California Richard Alarcon (former Los Angeles City Councilman) Flora Montes de Oca M 2007 Municipal D 2010-08 Ineligible district voting Registration fraud 16 1 Richard Alarcon was convicted on three counts of voter fraud and one count of perjury for illegally claiming, along with his wife, to have lived at 14451 Nordhoff St. in Panorama City during his run for City Council in 2007 and his bid for re-election in 2009. Texas Manuel Rodriguez III M In person Impersonation Ineligible felon voting 1 1 Manuel Rodriguez, III, admitted to voting illegally by impersonating his 101-year-old grandfather. Rodriguez is currently on supervised parole due to a felony conviction and, under Texas law, is not eligible to be registered to vote. Darrell Volkmann with the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office told reporters: “I find it extremely hard to believe that one of the election workers at that particular voting precinct, PCT 3, did not recognize Rodriguez III and recall his incarcerated past history. New Jersey Election contest: Fernando Gonzalez vs. Sergio Diaz 2014-11 Perth Amboy municipal D Election contest Absentee/mail Illegal assistance A Superior Court judge threw out the November 2014 election results for a Perth Amboy City Council seat, ordering a new election after finding that the city's Democratic chairwoman took advantage of elderly nursing home residents. The judge threw out 13 ballots; the margin of victory was just 10 votes. Among the residents whose mail-in ballots were thrown out by Judge Heidi Currier was a blind man, a resident who couldn't recall either her address or having voted, and others who testified that Leslie Dominguez-Rodriguez coerced them into voting for her husband, a candidate for Board of Education. The Democratic Organization chairwoman Leslie Dominguez-Rodriguez resigned as a result of the voter fraud allegations.
