Illinois Anish Eapen Armando Ramos M 2007-02 2007-04 General, Runoff Absentee/Mail Voter intimidation/coercion Illegal assistance 9 9 Anish Eapen and Armando Ramos, who campaigned for Alderman Bernard Stone in 2007, were sentenced to jail time for attempted voter fraud. Eapen, was convicted of 9 counts of vote fraud including attempted absentee ballot fraud and attempted mutilation of election materials for attempting to lure voters to use absentee ballots during Chicago elections in February and April 2007, violating the Illinois Election Code. Prosecutors charged the men with approaching residents in the ward and offering to help them cast absentee ballots, in some cases even filling out the ballots. Charged with 2 counts forgery, 1 count of voting in false name, 1 count conspiracy to vote in another’s name. Pleaded guilty to voting in false name, a felony, other charges dismissed. 18 months of probation
Washington Dennine Robertson F 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged.
