Minnesota Margaret Schneider F 2012-08 Primary 2013 Multiple voting In person 1 1 Margaret Schneider was charged by the Nicollet County Attorney’s Office with a felony for voting twice during the 2012 primary election.  She voted once with an absentee ballot on July 13 and again at her polling place  August 14. Schneider, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and dementia, said she walked to the polling place to vote on her own and didn’t remember she had already voted absentee.  Investigators found the letters “A.B.” next to Schneider’s name in the voter roster book, indicating that an absentee ballot already had been cast, causing officials to question why the election judge allowed Schneider to sign the book and vote again. All parties agreed to pre-trial intervention, allowing the charge to be dismissed after no further infractions through November 2014.
