North Carolina Contested Election: Allen Dial vs. Theresa Locklear 2013-11 Pembroke municipal Contested Election Ineligible district voting A new election was ordered after the State Board of Elections determined at least 30 votes were cast improperly in the November 2013 Pembroke Town Council election Robeson County officials determined that from 12 to 20 votes were cast using invalid addresses. They also found instances of improper IDs used to prove residency and at least eight instances of improper one-stop, absentee voting. Votes for Allen Dial, who was seeking his fifth term, and challenger Theresa Locklear tied at 299, according to the November results. It is not clear if any criminal charges will be filed. District Attorney Johnson Britt said that his office would review the information. Washington Brianna Debwa (quality control specialist - Tacoma ACORN office) 2007-07 Registration Fraud 2 Felony charges were filed against 7 individuals who submitted about 1,800 registration cards on behalf of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. The organization agreed to keep a better eye on its employees and pay $25,000 to defray costs of the investigation. Brianna Debwa was charged with 1 count of providing false information on a registration, and 1 count of making false statements to a public official. Florida Kashawn John 2010 Registration fraud 4 In Miami, Florida, former ACORN voter registration canvassers Maurice Childress, Kashawn John, Liltovia Rhodes, Carlos Torres, Evangeline Williams, Lilkevia Williams, and Richard Williams, were all convicted of “false swearing in an election.” Accused of filing multiple voter registration applications with fictitious names and as the same individuals and registering ACORN canvassers to vote multiple times while working on an ACORN voter drive. Charges: 2 counts false swearing in connection with voting and 2 counts of submission of false voter registration information. Washington Bettina Siharath 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged.
