Kentucky Earl Young Naomi Johnson Jackie Jennings M 2010 Primary Vote buying Three Jackson residents (Naomi Johnson, Jackie Jennings and Earl Young) were involved in a vote buying scheme in a 2010 magistrate’s race where they tried to control the outcome of the primary election. Johnson and Young were found guilty at trial and sentenced to four months in prison for conspiring to buy votes and vote buying. Michigan Angela Smith (former city council member) Bobbie Baker Frank Fields Zedora Miller F 2001-01 Ecorse City Council 2003-01 Absentee Ballot Fraud 2 Felony charges were filed against Angela Smith, Frank Fields, Zedora Miller and Bobbie Baker. The four were accused of handling and tampering with absentee voter ballots stemming from the January 9, 2001, election for Ecorse City Council. Iowa Unknown impersonator F 2012 Special Impersonation 1 Someone impersonated a Linn County woman and cast a fraudulent ballot in her name in a 2012 special election. That vote was counted. The woman who was impersonated later showed up at the polls and was given a provisional ballot. There was no way to identify the impersonator. Mississippi Kimberly Readus F 2013-05 Canton Democratic Primary D Stealing a ballot box 3 Canton Democratic municipal executive committeee member Kimberly Readus was found guilty on three charges including stealing a ballot box in connection with the Canton city Democratic primary election in May 2013 and sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended).
