Tennessee Unknown 2012-11 General In person Impersonation Multiple voting DeSoto County Election Commission chairman Paul Beale said several voting irregularities in the Nov. 6, 2012 general election and Nov. 27 runoff were turned over to the proper authorities, including the FBI. District 4 Election Commissioner Carl Payne reported an incident in which a father cast an absentee ballot, the son voted in person and then the son changes clothes and returned to vote as his father. according to a written statement from the poll manager. Among other cases reported by Payne: A voter came to cast a ballot, gave a name that was on the poll book, signed the receipt book and was allowed to vote. Another person using the same name came to vote later that day, and was informed he'd already voted. The second person provided proof of identity. Georgia Marion Rhodes (county commissioner) Intimidation/coercion Marion Rhodes, a county commissioner, was accused of intimidating poll workers as a result of confronting election officials about a mistake that involved rejecting a woman's absentee ballot application. The sheriff was called to respond to Rhodes' behavior, but Rhodes left voluntarily before law enforcement arrived. Missouri Multiple (27) 2015-04 Kinloch municipal Ineligible district registration The city of Kinloch has raised concerns to the St. Louis County Board of Elections and the Missouri Secretary of State about people being registered to vote in Kinloch who no longer live there. On April 2, the city gave the election board a list of 27 names of people who it claimed were illegally registered. New Mexico Election contest: Mary Helen Garcia v. Bealquin Gomez 2014-06 Democrat Primary (NM House District 34) D 2014-06 Election contest Absentee/mail Forgery New Mexico state Rep. Mary Helen Garcia a filed a motion challenging the results in the June 2014 Democrat Primary Election, citing irregularities in the signatures associated with absentee voting in the primary election for New Mexico House District 34. Attorneys for Rep. Garcia submitted information by a forensic handwriting analyst, citing at least 17 cases of signatures not matching voter rolls. Many of the questionable ballots came from Sunland Park, which has a history of voter fraud. Garcia, D-Las Cruces, lost the primary to Bealquin Gomez by 16 votes, 410 to 394. Third Judicial District Judge Jim T. Martin ruled against overturning the results of the primary election.
