Washington Karle Coppenrath F 2005-11 General Multiple Voting Absentee Ballot Fraud 1 Karle Coppenrath, of Jefferson County, Washington, reportedly voted two mail ballots in a 2005 election because she mistakenly received two ballots. There was no proof she intended to vote twice, so criminal charges were not filed. Maine Donald Wright M 2009-11 2011 Multiple Voting 2 1 Accused of voting early and on Election Day during the same election in 2009. He had "cognitive issues" and may not have remembered that he already voted, according to an email from Maine assistant attorney general Leanne Robbin. He was charged with voting more than once and with making a false statement. New Jersey Edwin Cruz Samuel Gonzalez (husband of Teresa Ruiz) John Fernandez Gianine Narvaez Edwin Cruz Jonathon Kowalski Antonio Santana Joaquin Caceres Angel Colon Sorinette Rosario M 2007-11 General Assembly/State Senate (state Sen. Teresa Ruiz) D Absentee/mail Impersonation Forgery Jonathon Kowalski, John Fernandez, and Edwin Cruz were each charged with conspiracy (2nd degree), election fraud (2nd degree), absentee ballot fraud (3rd degree), tampering with public records or information (3rd degree), and forgery (4th degree). Kowalski works in fund-raising at the North Ward Center, and Cruz and Fernandez both work for the Essex County Department of Economic Development.
