Indiana John Carlyle (security officer in the city clerk's office) M 2003 2004 East Chicago Democratic mayoral primary D 2006 Absentee Ballot Fraud Ineligible district voting Perjury 7 4 John Carlyle, a security officer in the city clerk's office, was charged as part of a fraud case brought by the Lake County Joint Voter Task Force that ultimately overturned the result of the 2003 East Chicago Democratic mayoral primary. Carlyle used his mother's address to register to vote, although he did not reside there. Carlyle allegedly voted in East Chicago for the 2003 primary and three elections in 2004. He was charged with 1 count of fraudulent application for ballots, 4 counts voting in other precinct, 2 counts perjury. Pleaded guilty to 1 count of voting in other precinct, a misdemeanor. Kentucky Jackie Jennings Naomi Johnson Earl Young 2010 Primary Vote buying Three Jackson residents (Naomi Johnson, Jackie Jennings and Earl Young) were involved in a vote buying scheme in a 2010 magistrate’s race where they tried to control the outcome of the primary election. Johnson and Young were found guilty at trial and sentenced to four months in prison for conspiring to buy votes and vote buying. Washington Bruce Quinn M 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged.
