New Hampshire ADDED SOURCE Michael Patrick Flaherty M 2006-11 General Registration Fraud Ineligible district voting The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office investigated Michael Patrick Flaherty because he reportedly registered and voted for the first time on Election Day without photo identification and the United States Post Office returned a verification letter sent to his address as undeliverable. Mississippi Connie Hollins F 2007-08 Democratic Primary 2008-08 Absentee Ballot Fraud Connie Hollins was accused of voter fraud involving absentee ballots during the August 2007 Democratic Primary in Wilkinson County. Connecticut Richard Murray M 2007-11 Registration Fraud Ineligible district voting A complaint was made that Richard Murray, Neill Bovaird, Kelly Way, Nancy Pilon, Janelle Rooks, M. Samantha Geiger, Amy Bovaird, Peter Nygard, Shannon Nygard and Angela Harwood were registered and in some cases voted in a place where they did not reside. An Election Commission investigation found that the defendants had registered in good faith with the belief that they did reside in the district in which they registered. The Commission found that had the Registrar's office been more thorough and done their diligence, it would have found that the addresses provided were not within the required district and the voter registrations/voting would not have occurred. Charged with one count voting by unqualified person. Arkansas Scott Montgomery (sheriff and candidate) M 2008-05 Democratic Primary for Sheriff D Voter intimidation/coercion Sheriff Scott Montgomery faced allegations of political intimidation, including bribing people to change votes in a sheriff's race to receive favors and/or not receive punishment from law enforcement. Allegations regarded violations of the Political Practices Act related to the May 20, 2008 election for sheriff of Perry County. Connecticut Shirley Surgeon (Democratic registrar and candidate) F 2008-08 Municipal Democratic Primary D Absentee Ballot Fraud OTHER Shirley Surgeon, the incumbent Hartford democratic registrar of voters who lost to the complainant in a primary, was accused of failing to forthwith file completed absentee ballot applications.
