Connecticut Richard Hofer M Ineligible district voting Richard Hofer voted twice in the town of Sherman, a town where he wasn't a resident. He voted once based on being on the tax records for the two properties he owned, and after discussing it with a local elections official, voted again in the name of his family's limited liability partnership. The State of Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission determined that Hofer wasn't trying to fraudulently vote, and made an honest mistake. Mr. Hofer wasn't penalized.
California Angel Perales M 2007 2009 Absentee/Mail Ballot tampering 20 Angel Perales pleaded* guilty to voter fraud in Cudahy's 2007 and 2009 elections, admitting to tampering with mail-in ballots in city elections by resealing and submitting votes for incumbent candidates and discarding votes for challengers. The exact number of ballots tampered with is not known, but all mail ballots for both elections were "routinely and systematically opened". Perales also helped voters from outside the district illegally register to vote at an address at which they did not reside. Ohio Roger D. Schantz M 2008-11 2010-11 2011-11 2012-03 2012-06 Multiple Voting Ineligible district voting 6 Roger D. Schantz allegedly voted in elections "on or about November 4, 2008, November 2, 2010, November 8, 2011 and March 6, 2012 in which he was not a legally qualified elector,” and he was also alleged to “have voted or attempted to vote more than once in the same election." Charged with 6 counts illegal voting. Pleaded guilty to 2 counts of illegal voting. Ohio Brenda Cornwell F 2007-08 Petition Fraud 9 Brenda Cornwell was charged with 6 counts prohibitions relating to petitions or declarations, 1 count election falsification, 2 counts forgery. Pleaded guilty to 1 count prohibitions relating to petitions or declarations, 1 count election falsification, 1 count forgery. Washington Dan Millikan M 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. North Carolina Anita Moore Ross "Toogie" Banner Carlos Hood Valerie Moore Wayne Shatley F 2002-11 General R 2003-07 Vote Buying Anita Moore and four others reportedly offered to pay, and paid, people to vote for Republican candidates and for Gary Clark, the Republican candidate for sheriff in the 2002 general election in Caldwell County. Illinois Rodney McCulloch M 2005 Republican primary R Petition fraud 7 0 Rodney McCullough was convicted of 3 counts of perjury and 1 count of disregarding the election code in a scheme that forged signatures to qualify Milton Township assesor James Gumm for the 2005 Republican primary ballot. Massachusetts Courtney Llewellyn Jack Villamaino F 2012-09 Republican primary R 2012-10 Registration fraud Absentee/Mail 5 285 Courtney Llewellyn pleaded guilty to voter fraud charges in Hampden Superior Court. Llewellyn was accused of conspiring with former East Longmeadow Selectman Jack Villamaino in a scheme to change the party affiliations of hundreds of voters to help his chances of winning the Republican Primary. Villamaino was running for State Representative at the time. He pleaded guilty to similar charges last month and sentenced to four months in jail. Llewellyn pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge and will serve a of year probation. Four of the charges were "continued without a finding." Those charges include larceny, forgery and felony counts of interfering with an election official. She has been ordered to do community service. Villamaino pleaded guilty in Hampden County Superior Court to charges of larceny under $250, interfering with an election official, four counts of forgery of a document, four counts of perjury, and conspiracy to commit an unlawful act.
