Connecticut Damon B. Smith M 2004-11 Multiple Voting A complaint was made that Damon Smith may have voted in two towns during the November 2004 state election. Smith was registered in two towns simultaneously since 1985 because he did not provide registrars with his prior voting address when he moved. He was removed from the list in the town where he no longer lived. Complaint was dismissed. Dismissed
Iowa Terri Lynn Rote F 2016-10 General R 2016-10 Multiple voting 1 1 Terri Lynn Rote was charged with first-degree election misconduct charge, a Class D felony, accused of voting twice in the November 2016 general election. Mississippi Carmon Yvette Anderson F 2013-09 Hattiesburg Mayoral Special 1 1 Three of seven defendants indicted on voter fraud connected to the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral elections pleaded guilty last week to misdemeanor charges in 12th District Circuit Court. Alethea Michelle Shaw, 46, Carmon Yvette Anderson, 53, and Joseph Lee Anderson, 53, each pleaded* guilty to a charge of voting out of district of legal domicile. Shaw works as public defender for the City of Hattiesburg’s Municipal Court. Carmon Anderson works as human resources director for the Hattiesburg Public School District. Each defendant received a suspended sentence of six months, was fined $200 and ordered to pay $220.84 court costs. Shaw was cited for voting in the June 4, 2013, general election even though her legal residence was listed in Lamar County outside Hattiesburg city limits. The Andersons were cited for voting in the Sept. 24, 2013, mayoral special election even though their legal residence was listed in Moselle. The indictments were connected to alleged voting irregularities in the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral race between incumbent Mayor Johnny DuPree and former Ward 4 City Councilman Dave Ware. After a year-long investigation, two Forrest County grand juries handed down seven misdemeanor indictments in October 2014. Georgia Evelyn Price F 2008-06 Registration Fraud Accused of voting without having proper residence and having lied on documents. (State Elections Board Case #2007-0038, City of Jackson) $500 fine and required to pay $351.49 in investigative costs. New Mexico Mary Ann O'Brien Luz Vargas F 2012-03 Sunland Park municipal 2012-06 Ineligible district voting 4 1 Authorities say 56-year-old Luz Vargas registered El Paso, Texas, resident Mary Ann O'Brien to vote in Sunland Park's municipal election in March. Connecticut Gary Montano M Ineligible district voting A complaint was brought against Gary Montano alleging he did not reside in the district in which he voted. The Connecticut Elections Enforcement Commission investigation concluded that Montano had "legitimate, significant, and continuing connections" to the claimed residence and whenever "transiently relocated" he intended to return to the residence.
