Texas Pauline Cusack (election official) F There were reportedly voting irregularities in a Gillsepie County election that Pauline Cusack oversaw. Case declined for prosecution. Letter sent to Secretary of State.
Washington Joy Bond F 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. South Dakota Janice Howe F 1999 Petition fraud Forgery 1 Janice Howe pleaded* guilty to forging signatures on petitions for a constitutional amendment and lying about personally witnessing people sign the petitions. Howe was charged in 2002, but evaded arrest until 2015. Indiana Florentino Guillen (city employee) M 2003 East Chicago Democratic mayoral primary D 2006 Absentee Ballot Fraud Ineligible district voting Perjury 3 1 Florentino Guillen, city school custodian, charged as part of a fraud case brought by the Lake County Joint Voter Task Force that ultimately overturned the result of the 2003 East Chicago Democratic mayoral primary. Admitted in court that he listed a false address on his absentee ballot application, the address of his cousin, Ray Guillen, and that he picked up his absentee ballot application from the mayor's campaign headquarters. Charged with 1 count of fraudulent application for ballots, 1 count voting in other precinct, 1 count perjury. Pleaded guilty to voting in other precinct, a misdemeanor. California Robert Mariette (campaign official) M 2005-11 2006-06 2006-11 2007-11 2008-02 2008-06 2008-11 2009-02 2010 Frauduent Voting Registration Fraud Perjury 13 8 Robert Mariette voted and held office in a district in which he did not reside. He cast votes and was on the board of directors in the Mountain Gate Community Services District, a district in which he did not reside. Mariette was charged with 13 counts. 8 counts of fraudulent voting, 2 counts of registration fraud, and 3 counts of perjury. He reportedly registered to vote using his girlfriend's address. He pleaded no contest to 1 count of fraudulent voting and 1 count of fraudulent registration. All other charges were dismissed. Illinois Armando Ramos Anish Eapen M 2007-02 2007-04 General, Runoff Absentee/mail Voter intimidation/coercion Illegal assistance 20 20 Armando Ramos and Anish Eapen, who campaigned for Alderman Bernard Stone in 2007, were sentenced to jail time for attempted voter fraud. Ramos was found to have assisted Eapen’s unlawful efforts to mislead voters and was convicted of 20 counts of vote fraud, including attempted absentee ballot fraud, and attempted mutilation of election materials. Prosecutors charged the men with approaching residents in the ward and offering to help them cast absentee ballots, in some cases even filling out the ballots.
