|Florida||Jada Woods Williams (Madison County Supervisor of Elections)||"Madison 9"||F||2010||Madison school board||2011-11||Absentee/Mail||17||Jada Woods Williams, Madison County Supervisor of Elections, was charged with 17 misdemeanor counts of neglect of duty and corrupt practices for allowing the illegal distribution of absentee ballots in the "Madison 9" case, in which 2010 Madison school board candidate Abra “Tina” Hill Johnson, her husband, and six others were also charged in a scheme to illegally request and return absentee ballots. Williams, who was suspended from office by the Governor when charges were filed in November 2011, mailed 80 absentee ballots to nine different addresses other than those on file for voters, and elections employees gave more than two absentee ballots to a nonrelative of a voter, in violation of state law. The election was decided by just 28 votes. Charges against Williams were dismissed due to lack of evidence of "willful" neglect or intent to commit fraud.||Dismissed 2013. In February 2009, Azada admitted to a USCIS officer during an interview for an immigration benefit that she had voted in an election. An investigation revealed that Azada voted nine times in primary, general and consolidated elections between 2003 and 2009.
