Indiana Valerie McGowan F 2003 East Chicago Democratic mayoral primary D Absentee Ballot Fraud Ineligible district voting Perjury 4 Valerie McGowan was charged as part of a fraud case brought by the Lake County Joint Voter Task Force that ultimately overturned the result of the 2003 East Chicago Democratic mayoral primary. Charged with 1 count of fraudulent application for ballots, 1 count voting in other precinct, 2 counts perjury. Pleaded guilty to voting in other precinct, a felony. Other counts dismissed. 18 months probation
Missouri Radonna Marie Smith F 2006 Registration Fraud Radonna Marie Smith was one of eight individuals from ACORN’s Project Vote affiliate, investigated by the FBI and arrested in 2007 for violation of election laws. Kentucky Jackie Jennings Naomi Johnson Earl Young 2010 Primary Vote buying Three Jackson residents (Naomi Johnson, Jackie Jennings and Earl Young) were involved in a vote buying scheme in a 2010 magistrate’s race where they tried to control the outcome of the primary election. Johnson and Young were found guilty at trial and sentenced to four months in prison for conspiring to buy votes and vote buying.
