Ohio Zachary McIntyre ResponsibleOhio 2015-07 Issue 3 referendum 2016-05 Registration fraud 1 0 Zachary McIntire was charged by the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office with false voter registration, a fifth-degree felony, in connection with a larger scheme by legal marijuana petitioners to encourage petition signers and voter registrants to give fraudulent addresses. An investigation by the Secretary of State's office found that ResponsibleOhio and the Strategy Network’s petitions contained signatures of dead people, that they attempted to register people under fake addresses, and that there were voter registration forms that were forged and completed by someone other than the registrant. Louisiana Election contest: Betty Blakes v. Juanita Woods 2016-04 Monroe municipal D 2016-04 Election contest Registration fraud - fake address, deceased Impersonation Betty Blakes filed challenged the results of the Monroe City Council District 3 runoff election in Ouachita Parish after falling short against Juanita Woods with 43% of the vote. Blakes alleged that voters used false addresses from deceased citizens and abandoned houses to illegally register and vote, and accused Woods of having election workers for her campaign working inside the voting polls, wearing t-shirts with the name Juanita Woods displayed and passing out campaign pamphlets. Both candidates are Democrats. On May 4, 2016, a judge ruled that Woods failed to present adequate proof that the voters she identified as ineligible were either not registered to vote in District 3 or did not live there at all. California Donald Dewsnup M 2015-11 San Francisco Supervisory Council 2016-04 Registration fraud - false address Ineligible district voting 7 1 Donald Dewsnup was charged with registering to vote using a false address, which allowed him to illegally vote in San Francisco Supervisorial District 3, in which he didn’t live. Florida Election contest: Bruce Guyton v. Lynne Hubbard 2016-03 Riviera Beach municipal 2016-04 Election contest Ineligible district voting Registration fraud 3 Incumbent Bruce Guyton challenged the results of the March 2016 Riviera Beach City Council race that ended in a tie between him and Lynne Hubbard, claiming that three absentee ballots casts by relatives of Hubbard should be thrown out. Guyton says there is proof that Hubbard’s nephew and two brothers don’t live at her house, as listed in their voter registration. Hubbard won a scheduled runoff election in May 2017, ending the contest. Wisconsin Ineligible minor voting 2016-04 Primary 2016-04 In person Ineligible minor voting 6 The Brown County clerk's office says at least six 17-year-olds registered and cast a ballot in the April 2016 primary election. De Pere reported that a 17-year-old certified he was old enough to vote. The clerk's office also learned of five other teens who voted around the area. The county clerk says poll workers did not look at the age on the IDs of some of the students. Hawaii Tiffany Edwards Hunt F 2012 2016-03 Registration fraud-ineligible district Ineligible district voting 1 1 Tiffany Edwards Hunt, a 2014 County Council District 5 candidate, was charged with voter fraud for violating Section 19-3.5, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, according to the office of the Hawai’i County Prosecuting Attorney. Edwards Hunt was accused of using her husband’s surf shop address in Pahoa instead of her home address in Hawaiian Acres over a five-year period from 2008 to 2013. The two addresses were located in different districts, allowing her the potential to vote in a district race that was not the one she lived in. Florida Anthony Grant Antionette Nowells James Randolph M 2015-03 Eatonville municipal D 2016-03 Absentee/mail Voter intimidation/coercion Vote buying 25 Eatonville Mayor Anthony Grant, Mia Antionette Nowells, and James Randolph were indicted on 25 felony voter fraud charges for coercing voters and submitting illegally obtained absentee ballots in the March 2015 mayoral election in which Grant was elected. Following the indictments, the governor suspended Mayor Grant. A grand jury found that Grant, Nowells and Randolph solicited an absentee ballot from someone who didn't live in Eatonville, marked ballots for voters, and forced people to register to vote. The charges followed a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation and a lawsuit filed by his opponent seeking a new election that also alleged Grant offered bribes and told people he would lower their rents in exchange for their vote.
