A campaign manager for a Hidalgo County Commissioner bought cocaine and gave it to the two women so they could use it to entice voters. Solis pleaded guilty to one count of vote-buying after she admitted to buying five votes with cash and cocaine. Both women were part of a large year and a half long FBI investigation into election corruption in Hidalgo County that began in January 2013. Missouri Keven Hayes Tracy Renee Jones Danny Lawrence Williams Rogell Coker Jr M 2014 General - 2014 (Initiative) 2015-05 Petition fraud Forgery 3 0 Keven Hayes was arrested in Columbia on three felony counts of forgery over fraudulent signatures on a 2014 initiative petition that unsuccessfully sought to put an early-voting proposal on the Missouri ballot. Secretary of State Jason Kander turned its investigative findings over to Boone County law enforcement officials, who filed the charges. There were 1,000 questionable signatures flagged in Boone County alone, including those of deceased individuals. Investigators allege that Hayes submitted petitions with 363 signatures from Boone County, including names of deceased individuals and three people who when contacted said they hadn't signed the petition. Hayes collected signatures on behalf of Buzzard Bay Strategies, which paid bonuses to those collecting the most signatures. West Virginia Wandell “Rocky” Adkins Toney “Zeke” Dingess M 2004-05 Democrat Primary D Vote Buying Wandell “Rocky” Adkins admitted buying votes during the 2004 primary election. Dingess said he carried more than $5,000 for Rocky Adkins. Georgia Debra Brown (campaign worker) Tommy Raney F 2007 Jackson municipal Absentee/Mail Illegal assistance 1 Tommy Raney, a 2007 candidate for the Jackson City Council, and his campaign worker, Debra Brown, pleaded* guilty to conspiracy to commit absentee ballot fraud for mishandling more than 40 absentee ballots in the 2007 Jackson City Council race. Raney had won the election by 27 votes. The inspector general determined Raney filled out two voter registration applications for electors; filled out and took possession of 48 absentee ballot applications for electors after they were signed; and filled in elector information on at least two absentee ballot envelopes for electors. Brown was found to have unlawfully "assisted numerous absentee electors" with voter registration applications and absentee ballots. *Plea deal: 2 years probation, $20,000 fine
