|New Jersey||Floyd Tally||Marty Small Ernest Storr Tracy Pijuan Luquay Zahir David Callaway Toni Dixon Dameka Cross Mark Crumble Michele Griffin Ramona Stephens Demaris Jones Ronald Harris||2009||Municipal - Democratic primary||2009-09||Absentee Ballot Fraud||9||Floyd Talley was one of 14 allegedly working alongside Atlantic City Councilman Marty Small to commit absentee ballot fraud. Talley was charged with 9 counts of voter fraud. Allegedly, voters were asked to apply for absentee ballots, but instead of letting the voters choose their own candidate, a self-proclaimed “secret army” mishandled ballots and even had a “shredding party” to dispose of votes for opposing candidates. Voters were told whom to vote for, never received their ballots — which wound up being cast anyway — or got their applications and ballots at the same time. It was alleged that some voters did not even live in the city, and used fictitious addresses in order to vote. Tally was acquitted.||Acquitted||http://www.documentcloud.org/documents/395062-new-jersey-dcj-cases-3.html||http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/breaking/atlantic-city-councilman-marty-...|

Hewitt requested an absentee ballot from the Hamilton County Board of Elections in September 2012. It was mailed to her Oct. 4, the day she died. When the absentee ballot was received at Hewitt’s address, (Kloos) opened the envelope, forged Ms. Hewitt’s signature, voted Ms. Hewitt’s ballot, and mailed the ballot back to the Board of Elections, a court document notes. After the allegation was made public, Kloos resigned as The College of Mount St. Joseph's Dean of the Division of Arts and Humanities. In a hearing before Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Winkler, Kloos pleaded guilty as charged but was sentenced to the diversion program. If she stays out of trouble, usually for a year, her record will be erased and legally it will be as if it never happened. As part of that agreement, she also has to report to authorities periodically and perform community service.
