The defendants all allegedly acted as bearers/messengers for mail-in (absentee) ballots. The three, who ran as a slate, were accused of buying lists of mail-in voters from two U.S. postal workers in Mission in July, which they used to visit voters’ homes and either assist them in filling out the ballots or fill them out without the voters’ consent.
