An investigation by the Secretary of State's office found that ResponsibleOhio and the Strategy Network’s petitions contained signatures of dead people, that they attempted to register people under fake addresses, and that there were voter registration forms that were forged and completed by someone other than the registrant. Her husband reportedly said they lived in an apartment inside Ward 4 city limits, but they also owned a home outside of Mooresville's town limits. |Florida||Zakee Fur'qan (fka Leon Edward Nelson)||M||Multiple||D||2015-08||Ineligible felon voting||Registration fraud||3||6||Zakee Fur'qan illegally voted multiple times after his civil rights had been revoked because of a past felony conviction. Fur'qan, who changed his name from Leon Edward Nelson, was convicted of second-degree murder in Duval County in 1991. Fur'qan's voting history indicated that he registered as a Democrat on Sept. 2, 2004 and had voted six times since then, even though his civil rights had not been restored. He was charged with three counts ofillegally voting in 2014 and 2015.
