New York Dutchess County Democratic Election Commissioner staff 2011 Poughkeepsie primary D Absentee/Mail Ballot tampering New York State Supreme Court Justice Charles Wood ordered data relating to 40 City of Poughkeepsie 2011 primary election absentee ballots to be returned to its previous status. Republican Dutchess County Elections Commissioner Erik Haight charged one of Democratic Commission Frances Knapp’s staffer “manipulated” data to benefit the Democrats. Haight also asked the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office to investigate what he believes is voter fraud. “I caught one or more Democratic Board of elections employees manipulating and tampering with data in the system to divert absentee ballots and the court ordered that manipulation was to be undone and it’s a huge victory for the absentee voters in Dutchess County because the votes that were diverted were elderly and disabled people.” http://www.midhudsonnews.com/News/2011/October/21/DC_BoE_Crt-21Oct11.htm
Connecticut Liz Piel F 2009-11 D Absentee/Mail An investigation by the Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission determined that Piel violated rules related to distributing unsolicited absentee ballot applications. Washington Jesse Swartzfager M 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. Colorado John McCarthy M 2004-08 Forgery Registration Fraud Charged with forgery and procuring false registrations for nearly 50 voters. McCarthy was hired by a campaign finance company, Choose 2 Vote, to register new voters for a fee. He submitted forged registration applications. McCarthy entered a guilty plea and received a 3-year sentence tied to probation revocation and another case. Louisiana Pamela Thibodeaux (former St. Martinville City Council member) F 2002 St. Martinville municipal 2003-12 Registration Fraud Former St. Martinville City Council member Pamela Thibodeaux pleaded guilty to falsifying information on voter registration forms to allow people outside the district to vote for her in the 2002 city election.
