Florida Jada Woods Williams (Madison County Supervisor of Elections) "Madison 9" F 2010 Madison school board 2011-11 Absentee/Mail 17 Jada Woods Williams, Madison County Supervisor of Elections, was charged with 17 misdemeanor counts of neglect of duty and corrupt practices for allowing the illegal distribution of absentee ballots in the "Madison 9" case, in which 2010 Madison school board candidate Abra “Tina” Hill Johnson, her husband, and six others were also charged in a scheme to illegally request and return absentee ballots. Williams, who was suspended from office by the Governor when charges were filed in November 2011, mailed 80 absentee ballots to nine different addresses other than those on file for voters, and elections employees gave more than two absentee ballots to a nonrelative of a voter, in violation of state law. The election was decided by just 28 votes. Charges against Williams were dismissed due to lack of evidence of "willful" neglect or intent to commit fraud. Dismissed 2013. Mississippi Joseph Lee Anderson M 2013-09 Hattiesburg Mayoral Special 1 1 Three of seven defendants indicted on voter fraud connected to the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral elections pleaded guilty last week to misdemeanor charges in 12th District Circuit Court. Alethea Michelle Shaw, 46, Carmon Yvette Anderson, 53, and Joseph Lee Anderson, 53, each pleaded* guilty to a charge of voting out of district of legal domicile. Shaw works as public defender for the City of Hattiesburg’s Municipal Court. Carmon Anderson works as human resources director for the Hattiesburg Public School District. Each defendant received a suspended sentence of six months, was fined $200 and ordered to pay $220.84 court costs. Shaw was cited for voting in the June 4, 2013, general election even though her legal residence was listed in Lamar County outside Hattiesburg city limits. The Andersons were cited for voting in the Sept. 24, 2013, mayoral special election even though their legal residence was listed in Moselle. The indictments were connected to alleged voting irregularities in the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral race between incumbent Mayor Johnny DuPree and former Ward 4 City Councilman Dave Ware. After a year-long investigation, two Forrest County grand juries handed down seven misdemeanor indictments in October 2014. North Carolina Robert Dean Hudson M 2016-11 General Ineligible felon voting 1 Robert Dean Hudson, who was was convicted of a felony in September 2016 and sentenced to probation, illegally cast a ballot in the 2016 general election during early voting on Oct. 20. Lost eligibility to work certain jobs as an election official and handle absentee ballots.
