Texas Election contest: Brian Black v. John Hegemier 2014-11 Bandera municipal 2014-11 Election contest Ineligible district voting Absentee/mail Candidate Brian Black challenged the results of the November 2014 mayoral election, which his opponent John Hegemier won by just 6 votes, 117 to 111, alleging that people who lived outside the city limits voted in the election and that mail ballots were illegally hand-delivered to voters in a rehabilitation center. Black's campaign manager also alleged that a specific poll worker, Rilla Stevens, tampered with the election between Oct. 20 and 31, during early voting, to ensure Hegemier’s win by electioneering whilw working at the polls. Bandera County Elections Administrator Toba Perez-Wright claimed that as a voter registrar, she cannot challenge someone’s residency. Texas Unnamed Hill County voters 2016-03 Primary Absentee/Mail Multiple voting 1 743 The Texas Secretary of State referred complaints regarding illegal voting in the March 2016 primary election in Hill County to the Office of the Attorney General after finding that as many as 1743 more votes were cast than there were voters in the election, that 6-7 voters voted twice, and one voter voted as many as four times.
