Hawaii Clifford Uwainewas (former State Senator) Ross Segawa Debra Kawaoka Brian Minaai M 1982 Democratic primary D 1983-02 Registration fraud - ineligible district 1 State Sen. Clifford Uwaine was convicted of conspiring to illegally register voters in the 1982 Democrat primary. Prosecutors found that 27 participated in a scheme to illegally register Honolulu voters in order to boost Democrat candidate Ross Segawa, a student in the University law school, into the District 19 state House seat that encompassed Manoa, where the university’s main campus is located. The students, including some working in the Legislature or attending the university’s law school, were caught when Segawa’s opponent noticed that some of Segawa’s youthful supporters claimed they lived at the Arcadia Retirement Residence on their voter registration forms. Texas Elizabeth Robledo Morales Jose Picasso F 2010-05 Alton municipal 2013-01 Ineligible district voting Registration fraud 1 1 Elizabeth Robledo Morales and Magdalena Robledo Rodriguez were charged with illegal voting for their roles in a voter fraud scheme during Alton’s May 2010 city election. Both women were named in a December 2012 indictment accusing them of having voted in the 2010 Alton election even though they were not eligible to vote in it. In 2010, a controversy sparked in the small Hidalgo County town when nearly three dozen voters were flagged by the city, which had chosen to run its own election. California Jason Lee Hayes M 2006 2006-10 Registration fraud Jason Lee Hayes, along with 11 others, were charged with deceiving voters into re-registering, motivated by a $10 bounty for each new registered voter. Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas charged 12 people with multiple counts of felony voter registration fraud. Hayes pleaded guilty to 1 count of fraudulent completion of affidavit of registration. North Carolina Contested Election: Allen Dial vs. Theresa Locklear 2013-11 Pembroke municipal Contested Election Ineligible district voting A new election was ordered after the State Board of Elections determined at least 30 votes were cast improperly in the November 2013 Pembroke Town Council election Robeson County officials determined that from 12 to 20 votes were cast using invalid addresses. They also found instances of improper IDs used to prove residency and at least eight instances of improper one-stop, absentee voting. Votes for Allen Dial, who was seeking his fifth term, and challenger Theresa Locklear tied at 299, according to the November results. It is not clear if any criminal charges will be filed. District Attorney Johnson Britt said that his office would review the information. Wisconsin Kevin Clancy (ACORN employee) Maria Miles M 2008 General Registration fraud 1 0 Kevin Clancy of Milwaukee pleaded* guilty to one count of Falsely Procuring Voter Registration as Party to a Crime, felony election fraud arising out of his work for ACORN during the 2008 presidential election. Clancy was accused of submitting multiple voter registration applications for the same individuals, and also was part of a scheme in which he and other Special Registration Deputies registered each other to vote multiple times in order to meet voter registration quotas imposed by ACORN.
