Pleaded guilty to 2 of 5 counts of making a false statement under election laws, a Class C felony. The other 3 charges were dropped after plea negotiations. 10 days in jail, 36 months of probation, a $750 fine (suspended) and barred from collecting signatures during probation.

From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. Illinois Margarita Del Pilar Fitzpatrick F 2006-11 General 2008-01 Non-citizen voting 1 Margarita Del Pilar Fitzpatrick, a citizen of Peru, registered to vote in Illinois using the federal “Motor Voter” registration form in August 2005, when she applied for an Illinois driver’s license and signed a voter registration application in which she checked a box indicating she was a United States citizen. Fitzpatrick was caught when she submitted her application for naturalization in 2007 and indicated that she had registered and illegally voted in a U.S. election in November 2006. By law, voting by a non-citizen is a deportable offense, and there is no intent requirement. The Department of Justice Board of Immigration Appeals upheld a decision to deport Margarita Del Pilar Fitzpatrick for voting in a federal election. California 113 Contra Costa County voters 2016-06 Primary Multiple voting 113 The Contra Costa County Elections Division discovered 113 registered voters voted twice and had both ballots counted during the June 2016 Presidential Primary Election, as a result of an emergency accommodation to the California Secretary of State’s office.
