Ohio Kathleen Dreamer (Board of Elections assistant ballot department manager) F 2004 General OTHER Jacqueline Maiden and Kathleen Dreamer, election board members, were accused of election crimes related to a ballot recount following the 2004 presidential election. Maiden and Dreamer were convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison, but the sentence was overturned and they were granted a retrial. Both ultimately pleaded no contest. Initially sentenced to 18 months in prison, but that was later overturned. Nevada Hortencia Segura-Munoz F General Non-citizen voting 2 2 Hortencia Segura-Munoz, an immigrant living in the country illegally, pleaded* guilty in Reno to violating election laws after she registered to vote in Washoe County under a false name and cast ballots in the 2008 and 2010 Nevada elections. Segura-Munoz was sentenced to 103 days in jail but given credit for 103 days already served on the single gross misdemeanor count of "conspiracy to commit violations concerning registration of voters." She was also ordered to pay $1,000 in costs and fees. Kentucky Naomi Johnson Jackie Jennings Earl Young F 2010 Primary Vote buying Three Jackson residents (Naomi Johnson, Jackie Jennings and Earl Young) were involved in a vote buying scheme in a 2010 magistrate’s race where they tried to control the outcome of the primary election. Johnson and Young were found guilty at trial and sentenced to four months in prison for conspiring to buy votes and vote buying. Washington Augustin Park M 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. California Leonis Malburg Domenica Malburg John Malburg M 2006-04 Vernon municipal 2006-11 Ineligible district voting Registration fraud - ineligible district Illegal assistance 8 1 Leonis Malburg, former mayor of Vernon, and his wife Domenica Malburg were convicted of fraudulent voting and voter registration fraud. Malburg, who had been mayor for 50 years prior to his resignation, and his wife did not live in Vernon and were thus ineligible to vote or be candidates in that municipality. Oregon Ernesto Cirfuentes M 2000-07 Petition Fraud Ernesto Cirfuentes submitted forged signatures on an initiative petition. Texas Unnamed Hill County voters 2016-03 Primary Absentee/Mail Multiple voting 1 743 The Texas Secretary of State referred complaints regarding illegal voting in the March 2016 primary election in Hill County to the Office of the Attorney General after finding that as many as 1743 more votes were cast than there were voters in the election, that 6-7 voters voted twice, and one voter voted as many as four times.
