Ohio Jacqueline Maiden (Board of Elections Coordinator) F 2004 General OTHER Jacqueline Maiden and Kathleen Dreamer, election board members, were accused of election crimes related to a ballot recount following the 2004 presidential election. Maiden and Dreamer were convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison, but the sentence was overturned and they were granted a retrial. Both ultimately pleaded no contest. Initially sentenced to 18 months in prison, but that was later overturned. Garza and Rafael Elizondo were indicted for possessing marked ballots without the consent of the voter, in violation of Section 86.006 of the Texas Election Code. Elizondo was indicted for possessing more than ten marked ballots without the consent of the voter during a 2012 primary runoff election.
