Connecticut CT ACORN 2008 Registration Fraud Two Republican registrars of voters brought complaints to the State Elections Enforcement Commission that hundreds of registration applications ACORN submitted to them were "problem cards." The Commission investigated ACORN's actions near the registrars' cities, Bridgeport and Stamford. An investigation found there was not enough evidence to "determine that CT ACORN had an institutional or systemic role in designing and implementing a scheme or strategy to fraudulently register or enroll electors" in the two cities. New York Robert LaPietra M 2008 2008-09 OTHER Robert LaPietra was accused of running for Cobleskill village trustee in 2008 even though he did not live in the village. Pleaded guilty to 13 counts of offering false instruments for filing, a class E felony. Ohio Roderice Cortez Lacy Deborah Ramirez Joseph Copija 2008 Petition Fraud 3 Roderice Cortez Lacy worked for a signature-gathering firm and faked signatures trying to get a measure on the ballot. Lacy was not from Ohio and therefore legally could not collect signatures. Charged with 3 counts of complicity to election falsification.
