Kentucky Chester Jones (former chairman of the Perry County Democratic Executive Committee, former state representative, former circuit court clerk, and candidate for county school board) Sherman Neace M 2008 General D 2009-06 Vote Buying 2 Chester Jones and Sherman Neace, public officials, reportedly diverted $7,500 from the State Democratic Party to buy votes for themselves. Jones acquired 75 counter checks from the local bank, leaving the payee blank, and he and Neace distributed checks for $100 to buy votes. Florida Kashawn John 2010 Registration fraud 4 In Miami, Florida, former ACORN voter registration canvassers Maurice Childress, Kashawn John, Liltovia Rhodes, Carlos Torres, Evangeline Williams, Lilkevia Williams, and Richard Williams, were all convicted of “false swearing in an election.” Accused of filing multiple voter registration applications with fictitious names and as the same individuals and registering ACORN canvassers to vote multiple times while working on an ACORN voter drive. Charges: 2 counts false swearing in connection with voting and 2 counts of submission of false voter registration information. Alabama Olivia Reynolds Lesa Coleman Janice Hart Daniel Reynolds F 2013 Dothan municipal D 2014-05 Absentee/Mail Conspiracy 26 24 Olivia Reynolds was convicted of 24 counts of fraudulently obtaining absentee ballots during the 2013 Dothan city commission election on behalf of District 2 Commissioner Amos Newsome, her boyfriend. Newsome won the race by just 14 votes. Oklahoma Brenda Henry Ronald Joel Henry F 2016-04 Municipal 2016-08 Absentee/mail 1 Brenda Henry and her husband Ronald were arrested and charged in Oklahoma County District Court with one felony count of falsifying an absentee ballot application in the April 2016 Luther town council election. At least nine absentee ballots were fraudulently filled out, including multiple false or duplicate addresses and illegal notarizations without voters present.
