Washington Brianna Debwa (quality control specialist - Tacoma ACORN office) 2007-07 Registration Fraud 2 Felony charges were filed against 7 individuals who submitted about 1,800 registration cards on behalf of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. The organization agreed to keep a better eye on its employees and pay $25,000 to defray costs of the investigation. Brianna Debwa was charged with 1 count of providing false information on a registration, and 1 count of making false statements to a public official. Washington Richard Lindblom M 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. Kentucky Chester Jones (former chairman of the Perry County Democratic Executive Committee, former state representative, former circuit court clerk, and candidate for county school board) Sherman Neace M 2008 General D 2009-06 Vote Buying 2 Chester Jones and Sherman Neace, public officials, reportedly diverted $7,500 from the State Democratic Party to buy votes for themselves. Jones acquired 75 counter checks from the local bank, leaving the payee blank, and he and Neace distributed checks for $100 to buy votes. Florida Kashawn John 2010 Registration fraud 4 In Miami, Florida, former ACORN voter registration canvassers Maurice Childress, Kashawn John, Liltovia Rhodes, Carlos Torres, Evangeline Williams, Lilkevia Williams, and Richard Williams, were all convicted of “false swearing in an election.” Accused of filing multiple voter registration applications with fictitious names and as the same individuals and registering ACORN canvassers to vote multiple times while working on an ACORN voter drive. Charges: 2 counts false swearing in connection with voting and 2 counts of submission of false voter registration information.
