Michigan Jason Bauer (former Democratic Operations Director) Michael McGuinness M 2010-11 D OTHER 9 Jason Bauer and Michael McGuinness were two Oakland County Democrats who pleaded no contest to charges related to putting fake Tea Party candidates on the Nov. 2010 election in an attempt to dilute the Republican ballot. Florida Diamond Cleopatra Ross F 2009 Registration fraud 6 Diamond Cleopatra Ross was accused of filing multiple voter registration applications with fictitious names and as the same individuals and registering ACORN canvassers to vote multiple times while working on an ACORN voter drive. Charges: 3 counts of false swearing in connection with voting or elections and 3 counts of submission of false voter registration information.
Tennessee Brenda Woods F 2009 Municipal Procuring Illegal Votes 3 Brenda Woods was convicted of three counts of procuring an illegal vote, a Class E felony. 2 years for each offense, with credit given for one day’s jail service and the remainder of the time on supervised probation. Wisconsin Valerie A.Moran F 2014-11 General 2015-03 Ineligible felon voting 1 1 Valerie A. Moran of Merrimac was charged with illegally voting as a convicted felon in the November 2014 general election. A Town of Merrimac official documented that Moran signed the poll list on Election Day, and Moran admitted to voting on that date during a phone interview. Connecticut Helene Barbara Weinberg F Ineligible district voting Michael Weinberg and wife Helene Barbara Weinberg lived in a home in Roxbury while simultaneously maintaining a home in New York City. A neighbor accused the couple of not living in Roxbury, and therefore illegally voting in the 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 elections. The neighbor also accused the couple of attempting to disenfranchise the votes of other Roxbury residents by sending out an email indicating that one could register and vote in Roxbury if they paid taxes there, and that they didn't necessarily have to live there. The State of Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission determined that the couple did qualify as residents of Roxbury, and didn't send out the email with the intent of disenfranchising anybody's vote, despite the incorrect legal advice.
