Illinois John Jay Bieschke M Petition Fraud Forgery John Jay Bieschke pleaded guilty to forged nominating petitions.
Illinois Jeannette Sims F 2008-11 2009-04 Registration Fraud Forgery Sims reportedly filed 10 fake voter registration cards before the November 2008 election. Sims was working with a voter registration drive sponsored by the Service Employees International Union. A handwriting expert examined the cards and determined that Sims filled out all 10 cards with fake addresses. Many of the registration cards were submitted with addresses that do not exist, while others bore the names of people who did not live at the addresses listed on the cards. Iowa Unnamed 2016-10 General Multiple voting 1 1 Three people have tried to vote multiple times in the November 2016 general election in Polk County, according to Des Moines police reports. Two of the incidents involved people casting mail-in ballots and also voting in person at one of the county's early voting locations. Washington Dale Casey M 1 Records received from Snohomish County Washington did not indicate the specific accusation. From a list of almost 200 voter fraud cases that occurred since June 2007, only one person was charged. Mississippi Joseph Lee Anderson M 2013-09 Hattiesburg Mayoral Special 1 1 Three of seven defendants indicted on voter fraud connected to the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral elections pleaded guilty last week to misdemeanor charges in 12th District Circuit Court. Alethea Michelle Shaw, 46, Carmon Yvette Anderson, 53, and Joseph Lee Anderson, 53, each pleaded* guilty to a charge of voting out of district of legal domicile. Shaw works as public defender for the City of Hattiesburg’s Municipal Court. Carmon Anderson works as human resources director for the Hattiesburg Public School District. Each defendant received a suspended sentence of six months, was fined $200 and ordered to pay $220.84 court costs. Shaw was cited for voting in the June 4, 2013, general election even though her legal residence was listed in Lamar County outside Hattiesburg city limits. The Andersons were cited for voting in the Sept. 24, 2013, mayoral special election even though their legal residence was listed in Moselle. The indictments were connected to alleged voting irregularities in the 2013 Hattiesburg mayoral race between incumbent Mayor Johnny DuPree and former Ward 4 City Councilman Dave Ware. After a year-long investigation, two Forrest County grand juries handed down seven misdemeanor indictments in October 2014.
