Ohio Multiple cases - Delaware County ResponsibleOhio 2015-08 Issue 3 referendum Registration fraud Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted sent “multiple cases” of potential voter-registration fraud by ResponsibleOhio to the Delaware County prosecutor for possible legal action. Voter registration forms submitted by The Strategy Network, the company owned by Ian James, executive director of ResponsibleOhio, appear to include “potential violations of election laws.”
California Jennifer Anne Thomas F Registration Fraud Petition Fraud Jennifer Anne Thomas allegedly made unauthorized use of personal identification information involving fraudulent completion of affidavit of registration and signing fictitious or forged name to petition. Dismissed
Wisconsin Marc P. Lacher M 1 Marc P. Lacher was alleged to have cast a ballot as an ineligible voter.
Connecticut Ana Molina F Registration Fraud Ana Molina worked for the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration as a voter registration officer. She was accused of falsifying voter registration cards. $5,000 fine, which was remitted to $700 because of her financial situation. Also ordered to send a letter of apology to the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration.
Indiana Armondo Vera M Absentee Ballot Fraud Impersonation Ineligible district voting 3 Armondo Vera, a Parks Department employee, was charged as part of a fraud case brought by the Lake County Joint Voter Task Force that ultimately overturned the result of the 2003 East Chicago Democratic mayoral primary. Vera was charged with 1 count of fraudulent application for ballots, 1 count voting in other precinct, and 1 count of voting in false name. Vera pleaded guilty to voting in other precinct, a felony. Other counts dismissed. 6 months in the department of corrections and 13 months probation
Connecticut Richard Hofer M Ineligible district voting Richard Hofer voted twice in the town of Sherman, a town where he wasn't a resident. He voted once based on being on the tax records for the two properties he owned, and after discussing it with a local elections official, voted again in the name of his family's limited liability partnership. The State of Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission determined that Hofer wasn't trying to fraudulently vote, and made an honest mistake. Mr. Hofer wasn't penalized.
Georgia Robert Dennard M
Oregon Johnny R. Burkett M 2006-02 Forgery 5 Johnny R. Burkett was charged with submitting forged signatures. Pleaded guilty to 2 of 5 counts of making a false statement under election laws, a Class C felony. The other 3 charges were dropped after plea negotiations. 10 days in jail, 36 months of probation, a $750 fine (suspended) and barred from collecting signatures during probation.
Texas Fermina Castillo F 2010-11 General Ineligible felon voting 1 1 Fermina Castillo pleaded* guilty to one count of illegally voting while an ineligible felon (TEC 64.012) in the 2010 general election. *Plea deal: 2 years deferred adjudication/community supervision, $100 fine Hidalgo: CR-1912-12-I
