Pennsylvania Michael Vadella Joseph Vadella James Vadella M 1997 Primary 1997-05 Absentee Ballot Fraud Illegal assistance Joseph Vadella, along with his brothers, James and Michael, pleaded guilty to charges stemming from an attempt to influence a primary election in which Joseph Vadella was a candidate. The scheme involved signing up voters to receive absentee ballots without their knowledge. Campaign workers would pick up the ballots, telling voters that they would take care of the forms. Ohio Chad Staton M Registration Fraud 10 Chad Staton admitted falsifying over 100 voter registration forms in exchange for crack cocaine, using names including Michael Jackson and Mary Poppins, according to the indictment. The person who paid him was associated with the NAACP National Voter Fund. Charged with 10 counts false registration. Connecticut Killingly Kids Count Voter intimidation/coercion Citizens for Limited Taxation filed a complaint against Killingly Kids Count (KKC), a registered political committee, with the State of Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission that alleged the group tried to intimidate voters through its flyers for two separate elections. It also alleged that a school official had "advocated a position on a referendum using public funds," when he called a radio station and told listeners to vote against a measure. After an investigation, the commission found there was no evidence that the group had posted the flyers. The commission also concluded that the school principal made the call during his break and was not guilty of any wrongdoing. The complaint was dismissed. Dismissed
