North Carolina Kierra Fontae Leache 2008-11 General D 2011-08 Multiple voting 1 1 Three Wake County residents were charged with, and admitted to, voter fraud in connection with the 2008 presidential election. Twenty-six-year-old Kierra Fontae Leache of Pheiffer Drive in Raleigh, 46-year-old Shelia "Sheilia" Romona Hodges, also of Pheiffer Drive in Raleigh, and 25-year-old Brandon Earl McLean of Bethune Drive in Raleigh, admitted casting two votes in 2008. All three are registered Democrats. Leache filed a no-excuse absentee application on Oct. 29, 2008, as well as voted at the polling place on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Raleigh on Nov. 4. Leache later admitted to authorities that she did vote twice in the presidential election. Hodges and McLean both each participated in early voting at Chavis Heights Community Center in Raleigh and later voted on Election Day at their local polling place. They also admitted to the charges. All three have been placed under a $10,000 bond. The Wake Board of Elections uncovered the fraud and turned it over to the Wake County DA and got the SBI involved to investigate. http://abc11.com/archive/8301269/ http://commentarama.blogspot.com/2011/08/democrats-convicted-of-voter-fraud.html

New Jersey Election contest: Michael Strumolo and Vincent Ferraro vs. Robert J. Peluso and Louis Valori 2013-06 Parsippany municipal primary 2013-07 Election contest Candidates Michael Strumolo and Vincent Ferrara each filed petitions with Superior Court Assignment Judge Thomas Weisenbeck in Morristown contesting the results of the June 4, 2013 Parsippany Town Council primary, which named Robert Peluso and Louis Valori as winners. Several witnesses testified that County Clerk candidate James Vigilante gave them mail-in ballots to certify, or sign and turn in. Each of the people testified that Vigilante gave them a stack of votes, and that they never met any of the voters. Strumolo's attorney Brian Aloia told the court that Vigilante could have distributed as many as 50 votes in that fashion. Election laws prohibit candidates from handling mail-in ballots and also require that a mail-in ballot submitted on behalf of another voter must be signed by whoever submits it. The person submitting the ballot also must have received it directly from the voter. Ferrara said in his petition that enough illegal votes were accepted to change the outcome of the election. His petition cites the names of three people who allegedly voted twice by mail-in ballot and the names of 71 other people he believes improperly cast mail-in ballots. “The 77 illegal votes that were received ... were sufficient to change the outcome of the election. As a result, the will of the electorate either is not discernible or has been frustrated by the widespread acceptance of illegal and/or fraudulent votes,” Judge dismissed the challenge, but said there was "significant cause for concern" about the conduct of James Vigilante. Three women testified that Vigilante called them to his home office to pick up and sign for mail-in ballots that he had there, and later drove them to the board of elections office to deliver the ballots. Under state election law, candidates are not allowed to possess or handle mail-in ballots. The law also says the person submitting the ballot must also have received it directly from the voter. However, Vigilante couldn't have impacted enough ballots to change the outcome of the vote, Weisenbeck said http://www.nj.com/morris/index.ssf/2013/08/testimony_will_expose_illegal_parsipp... http://patch.com/new-jersey/parsippany/primary-candidates-allege-voter-fraud-hea... http://www.nj.com/morris/index.ssf/2013/09/after_alleged_voter_fraud_judge_wants...
