Texas Russell Grant Charles Roaches M 2009-05 Gonzales municipal 2011-02 Absentee/mail Voter intimidation/coercion Ballot tampering 10 10 Russell Grant was indicted in February 2011 on 10 counts of voter fraud for providing false information on an application for early voting in the May 2009 Gonzales City Council election, along with Charles Roaches, indicted on 4 counts. Dozens of Gonzales citizens said then-candidates Grant and Roaches gave them misleading information and possibly tampered with their mail-in ballot applications. City Voting Officer Jean Collins said 83 of 102 mail-in ballot applications received listed "disability" as the reason for voting by mail. Several voters named on the applications contended they are not disabled and never voted by mail. In February 2010, Grant admitted to “voter misconduct” and agreed to resign his District 2 council seat, abstain from public office, and cooperate with authorities in the voter fraud investigation. Both Grant and Roaches entered pretrial diversion. Kansas Leslie McIntosh M 2000 2002 General 2004-10 Multiple voting Ineligible district voting 2 1 Leslie McIntosh was convicted of voting in both Kansas and Missouri and providing false residency information to election officials. Ohio Kathleen Dreamer (Board of Elections assistant ballot department manager) F 2004 General OTHER Jacqueline Maiden and Kathleen Dreamer, election board members, were accused of election crimes related to a ballot recount following the 2004 presidential election. Maiden and Dreamer were convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison, but the sentence was overturned and they were granted a retrial. Both ultimately pleaded no contest. Initially sentenced to 18 months in prison, but that was later overturned. Maryland Linda Earlette Wells F 2012-11 General 2013-07 In Person Impersonation - deceased Registration fraud-impersonation 3 1 Maryland state prosecutors indicted a Montgomery County woman, Linda Earlette Wells, of Winding Creek Place in Germantown, for reactivating her deceased mother's voter registration and casting a provisional ballot under her name in the 2012 General Election.  Wells, 67, was charged with impersonating a voter in order to register in the name of the voter, attempting to vote under a false name and impersonating another person in an attempt to vote.  In September 2013, Wells pleaded* guilty to voting fraudulently in the 2012 presidential election. Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Paul Weinstein sentenced her to probation before judgment.  According to a statement of facts that Wells agreed to when pleading guilty, she was not registered to vote in Maryland at the time of the election, but was actually registered to vote in Florida. *Plea deal: Probation, for 1 count of voting fraudulently http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/politics/blog/bs-md-illegal-voting-ind... http://osp.maryland.gov/2014/02/27/2013-jul-30-linda-earlette-wells-indictment/ http://osp.maryland.gov/2014/02/27/2013-sept-11-linda-earlette-wells-agreed-stat...
