New Jersey Tracy Pijuan Marty Small Ernest Storr Luquay Zahir Floyd Tally David Callaway Toni Dixon Dameka Cross Mark Crumble Michele Griffin Ramona Stephens Demaris Jones Ronald Harris 2009 Municipal - Democratic primary 2009-09 Absentee Ballot Fraud 10 Tracy Pijuan was one of 14 allegedly working alongside Atlantic City Councilman Marty Small to commit absentee ballot fraud. Pijuan was charged with 10 counts of voter fraud. Voters were asked to apply for absentee ballots, but instead of letting the voters choose their own candidate, a self-proclaimed “secret army” mishandled ballots and even had a “shredding party” to dispose of votes for opposing candidates. Voters were told whom to vote for, never received their ballots — which wound up being cast anyway — or got their applications and ballots at the same time. It was alleged that some voters did not even live in the city, and used fictitious addresses in order to vote. Pijuan was acquitted. Alabama Clifford Don Twilley (campaign official and board of education chairman) M 2010-06 2011 Vote Buying Board of Education Chairman Twilley indicted for vote buying. The charge stems from an investigation into Twilley's conduct in the June 2010 elections in Wilcox County. He was indicted for vote buying. Motion to nolle prosse filed by the state was granted. Maryland Linda Earlette Wells F 2012-11 General 2013-07 In Person Impersonation - deceased Registration fraud-impersonation 3 1 Maryland state prosecutors indicted a Montgomery County woman, Linda Earlette Wells, of Winding Creek Place in Germantown, for reactivating her deceased mother's voter registration and casting a provisional ballot under her name in the 2012 General Election.  Wells, 67, was charged with impersonating a voter in order to register in the name of the voter, attempting to vote under a false name and impersonating another person in an attempt to vote.  In September 2013, Wells pleaded* guilty to voting fraudulently in the 2012 presidential election. Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Paul Weinstein sentenced her to probation before judgment.  According to a statement of facts that Wells agreed to when pleading guilty, she was not registered to vote in Maryland at the time of the election, but was actually registered to vote in Florida. *Plea deal: Probation, for 1 count of voting fraudulently http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/politics/blog/bs-md-illegal-voting-ind... http://osp.maryland.gov/2014/02/27/2013-jul-30-linda-earlette-wells-indictment/ http://osp.maryland.gov/2014/02/27/2013-sept-11-linda-earlette-wells-agreed-stat...
