Ilinois Anthony M.Kimani 2004-11 General Non-citizen voting 1 Anthony M. Kimani, a Kenyan citizen, entered the United States in 2000 on a visitor’s visa, registered to vote in 2003 (after his visa had expired) claiming he was a U.S. citizen in a driver’s license application in Illinois, and illegally voted in the 2004 general election. North Carolina Contested Election: Allen Dial vs. Theresa Locklear 2013-11 Pembroke municipal Contested Election Ineligible district voting A new election was ordered after the State Board of Elections determined at least 30 votes were cast improperly in the November 2013 Pembroke Town Council election Robeson County officials determined that from 12 to 20 votes were cast using invalid addresses. They also found instances of improper IDs used to prove residency and at least eight instances of improper one-stop, absentee voting. Votes for Allen Dial, who was seeking his fifth term, and challenger Theresa Locklear tied at 299, according to the November results. It is not clear if any criminal charges will be filed. District Attorney Johnson Britt said that his office would review the information. Wisconsin Dan Shansky M 2012-06 Recall Ineligible district voting 1 Dan Shansky left Wisconsin in March 2012 to take a job with a union in California, but still cast a ballot in Wisconsin's June 5, 2012 recall election. The community organizer, who listed the Milwaukee-based Community Action Now as a recent employer, was heavily involved in the protest and recall movement in Wisconsin. The government roll shows Shansky applying for absentee ballots for both the recall’s primary and general elections. Georgia Charlotte Ward F Charlotte Ward was accused of voting by an unqualified elector. There were also absentee ballot mistakes on the part of the local government. Michigan Forrest Smith M 2010 Democrat Primary OTHER Rita Smith and her son, Forrest Smith, were accused of submitting false elections paperwork in connection with the 2010 primary for a state senate seat. Connecticut Loretta A. Sarro F Absentee/Mail Illegal Assistance Sarro was accused of helping union members fill out absentee ballot applications but neglected to provide information about herself required by law, such as a signature. Civil penalty of $500 and ordered to comply with the law in the future.
Kentucky Debra L. Morris Cletus Maricle Douglas C. Adams Freddy W. Thompson Stanley Bowling Charles Wayne Jones William Stivers William Bart Morris F 2002 2004 2006 2009-07 Vote Buying Circuit Court Judge Cletus Maricle, and seven others (Douglas C. Adams, Freddy W. Thompson, Stanley Bowling, Charles Wayne Jones, William Stivers, William Bart Morris and Debra L. Morris) were convicted in 2010 in a massive vote-buying scheme that ran through several elections. After a seven-week trial, the defendants were convicted on various charges they faced, which included vote-buying, mail fraud, extortion and money laundering. Several convicted major drug dealers testified during the trial about how easy it was to spread many thousands of dollars around to buy votes. Plea Deal: In 2010 sentenced to 10 years in prison.
