HOUSTON, Texas – On this week's episode of the Red, White & True podcast, Catherine Engelbrecht speaks with Debbie D'Souza, conservative political activist and co-producer with her husband Dinesh D’Souza of the soon to be released movie "Trump Card."

D'Souza describes the eerie similarities between the Left in Venezuela prior to Hugo Chavez’s rise to power and the Left in the United States in context of current events, and what the lesson should be to Americans who don’t want to see our country go in the same direction.

A candidate who ran on "hope and change" … the dismantling and replacement of historic monuments … a gradual disintegration of the electoral system … radical efforts to strip the right of citizens to bear arms. This is exactly what happened in Venezuela culminating in Hugo Chavez’s takeover as dictator of the country, what had previously been a prosperous republic. It’s what could happen in the United States if Americans don’t wake up and take action to keep people in office who respect and adhere to the U.S. Constitution.
