In Coming Days, True the Vote Will Steer Army of Volunteers to Georgia to Assist on the Ground
HOUSTON, Texas – True the Vote Founder and President Catherine Engelbrecht released the following statement regarding Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announcing the state will carry out a manual hand recount of all ballots:
"Today Georgia’s Secretary of State rightly announced a hand recount of all ballots cast in the November 3 Election. Although it is deeply disappointing that the election system in the Peach State was compromised to the point to require such a recount, it is the correct course of action to ensure that every legal voter’s ballot is counted and illegal ballots are thrown out. In the coming days True the Vote will steer thousands of its trained and committed volunteers to Georgia to assist in this recount and ensure that the law is upheld and law-abiding voters have their voices heard. We are working in states across the country through all possible avenues to fight for free, fair, secure elections that will restore integrity to America’s election process – and Georgia is Ground Zero in that fight."

- Dec. 8: “Safe Harbor” – date by which states must certify results and assign electors. If an election is in dispute, state legislatures may assign electors.
- Dec. 14: Electors meet in their states to cast votes for the president and VP.
- Jan. 3: New Congress is sworn in; 117th session starts.
- Jan. 6: Electoral votes are counted in House chamber by members of House and Senate; if neither candidate has 270 electoral college votes, the election is in dispute.
- Jan. 20: Inauguration Day – new president takes oath of office. In a disputed election, the House will appoint the president and Senate will choose the VP.
