Volunteering 101

Hi, Friend!

What does volunteering mean?

I know this sounds like a silly question, but you would be amazed at how many people would love to volunteer alongside us, but they just don’t know what it entails! Let’s break it down:

  • What does volunteering mean?I love this question. Volunteering using one, a few, or all of the initiatives TTV offers will always create a massive ripple effect. As our team works “behind the scenes” on relaunching familiar efforts, working towards launching new ones, and planning out new trainings, you will find that volunteering in 2025 and beyond will have an impact for our and future generations to come.
  • How much time do you have?Whether you have 5 minutes, an hour, or full time hours available, there is so much that you can contribute. From making phone calls, sending emails or letters, cleaning voter rolls, or simply just talking to others in passing to spread awareness, trust me when I say that your time is so much more valuable than you have been made to believe.
  • Can you really make a difference, even if you don’t know much about elections?100%. We provide various Toolkits to get started with some “101 basics”, and we are so excited to keep everyone updated on all that we have coming up for this year in preparation for the 2026 elections! (Insider info: we are actually adding more Toolkits soon!)
  • Can you volunteer your time if you don’t have a car or any way to leave your house?Yes! Check out “Can You Volunteer from Home?” for some starting points!
  • How do you have an impact if you feel as if your elected representatives don’t really care?Don’t ever underestimate the power of your voice, time, and actions. One of the examples I love using is IV3. As we saw with IV3 last year (which is launching soon as we gather the new states’ data!), the thousands of citizens who volunteered their time reached news internationally, thus opening many people’s eyes to the poor state of our nation’s voter rolls. Even if their election administrators didn’t respond or were quick to dismiss them, it sent an important message: we are all paying attention.

Please consider contributing to our multiple initiatives so we can continue the pertinent mission of securing our elections. Your tax-deductible contribution fuels our ongoing projects.
