| From Catherine Support True the Vote’s work Hi Friend — Well, here we are. The midterm run for the roses is almost at its end. To the thousands who used Scan. Check. Protect. to check your records, and everyone using 7 Votes to help friends vote: thank you. And to all of you who are working with campaigns to make calls, knock on doors, and support everything from GOTV to ballot curing, thank you. You saw something worth doing, and you did it. That is how a country moves forward. We’re hearing from Americans across the country who have discovered problems with their registrations and voting records. It’s maddening. It’s confounding. And amid the noise and chaos of politics, it can make people wonder whether their voices matter. If someone you know feels that way, please share this with them: Never mistake an imperfect system for a powerless people. Even in our hardest moments — actually, especially in our hardest moments — America remains the greatest country on earth. And its strength comes from its people. From the neighbor who shows up, the friend who speaks out, the ordinary person who takes responsibility for something bigger than themselves. It always has been, and God willing always will be, about the people. Liberty is messy. Free people disagree. We make mistakes. We struggle to put things right. The work is never finished. That’s reality, and it’s ok. Sometimes the choices on the ballot are deeply disappointing. We can see those shortcomings clearly and still recognize that the outcomes are not all the same. Ask who will do less harm, protect more liberty, and leave us better able to keep working for change. Your vote does not require your admiration. It requires your judgment. Cast it thoughtfully. Then hold the people you elect accountable. The struggle between light and darkness reaches far beyond elections. We meet it every day, in the choices we make and the courage we find. God has given us work to do, neighbors to love, and reasons to hope. Tuesday gives us an extraordinary opportunity: to bring millions of individual voices together and shape what happens next. Yes, our elections need work. We must demand accuracy, pursue answers, and insist on accountability. And we must vote. The people we elect will help decide whether those changes happen. Whatever road brought you here — hope, frustration, faith, or concern — the next step leads back to the ballot. Politicians come and go. The enduring promise of America is that its people have a voice. Yours is valuable. Use it. Help someone else use theirs. Keep the faith. Keep working. Keep reaching out. Never, ever, ever quit. Isaiah 6:8 is for you. Ephesians 6 FTW! Ever onward — |
P.S. Tuesday will come and go. We never stop. Long after the campaigns pack up and the headlines move on, we’ll still be here—pursuing public records, building tools, training citizens, and pressing for accountability. That work takes resources. So does standing our ground through costly legal battles. We bear those battle scars without regret, but we cannot carry this mission alone. Please make a donation to True the Vote today. We have the faith and the resolve. With your help, we’ll have the resources to keep going.
A message from someone you know moves people to vote in a way mass campaign messages can't. - Texts from friends boost turnout. In a Columbia University study, a text from a friend raised turnout 8.3 percentage points. Mass automated texts average less than half a point.
- Small margins decide big elections. Just 187 votes decided a seat in Congress in 2024. Reaching even a few friends makes a real difference.
- Connection and a plan. What works is a friendly nudge from someone you trust, plus help making a real plan: when, where and how you'll vote.
Simple ways to help your seven: share their polling place, send date reminders, or offer a ride or a hand. Sources: Schein, Green et al., Columbia University, friend-to-friend texting in the 2018 midterms; 2024 U.S. House results. |

Don't forget! You can check your own voter registration record and your activity right now. Visit scancheckprotect.org and take three minutes to: - Confirm your current record is accurate — your name, address, and status.
- See if your early vote was recorded — check back if your state hasn't reported yet.
- Verify that your address isn't being used as a voter trap house — after you pull up your record, check your current address and confirm you recognize anyone else who may be registered at your residence.
- Check the rolls in states where you used to live — old registrations often linger for years after you've moved, sometimes without your knowledge.
- Tell us what you found. Good or bad, we want to hear from you — and if something looks off, we're here to help you fix it.

Grounded in TruthA weekly word from the TTV team. Want one every day? Join us in TTV Now. Father, We come before You lifting up our nation in prayer. Election Day is Tuesday and we humbly ask You to protect every part of the election process. Give those overseeing our elections wisdom, honesty, and a commitment to doing what is right. And Father, for those who are hesitant to vote because they don’t trust our elections or because they don’t think they can make a difference, remind them that the voice You entrusted to them matters. Help them not to be discouraged by the challenges or uncertainties surrounding us, but to recognize the opportunities they have been given to make a difference in their communities and our nation. Remind us that we are not called to simply watch from the sidelines. You have given us opportunities to serve others, stand for what is right, and be salt and light. You have called us to Go and Do! Give us the courage to answer that call and the faithfulness to act upon it.
